My girlfriend and I flew back to Savannah, Georgia this weekend to partake in the St. Patrick’s Day festivities. After watching the Tybee Island St. Patrick’s Day Parade, we decided to have dinner at A-J’s Dockside Restaurant on Tybee Island. While at dinner I sampled Sol from Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma Brewery located in Monterrey, Mexico. This beer came in a 12 fluid ounce clear bottle accompanied by a lime wedge. Cuauhtémoc Brewery was founded in Monterrey in 1890, with Carta Blanca being the first beer produced. In 1985 Moctezuma Brewery integrated with Cuauhtémoc Brewery, adding the brands Dos Equis, Superior, Sol, and Noche Buena to the existing brands Carta Blanca, Tecate, Bohemia, and Indio. Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma Brewery was acquired by Heineken International in 2010.
