Yesterday (10/22/2015) after work, Ryan and I stopped by Dockside Liquors in Grand Cayman to pick up some beer. Dockside Liquors is actually right across the street from our work in George Town. Later that night we tried Due South’s Craft American Lager, a 4.6% alcohol by volume (ABV) beer from the Due South Brewing Company located in Boynton Beach, Florida, USA.
Due South’s Craft American Lager came in a 12 fluid ounce can with a canned on date of 03/05/2015. According to Due South’s website, their Craft American Lager won a bronze medal at the 2015 Best Florida Beer Championships under the German Pilsner category. As far as style listings from the major beer websites, BeerAdvocate says American Amber/Red Lager, ratebeer says Premium Lager, and UNTAPPD says Lager – Pale.
Below I have provided a short description of Due South’s Craft American Lager taken from their website:
“Craft American Lager is specially brewed for the tropical South Florida climate. We cold condition this beer for weeks and the result is a clean, crisp taste designed to stand up to the heat of the Sunshine State. Enjoy your Craft!” – Due South Brewing Company
